They say people dream in black and white, in a manner clearly defined. Whether true or not, it is a trait in my family to dream in color. Am i the only one who does this, who has dreams that mimic reality so closely that, as they are occuring, they seem real. Who, immediately after, wonders whether they in fact occured. The people i see are usually people i know, the places are places i have usually been, but, most importantly, dreams represent the deepest desires; they reveal what cannot be faced once awake. Many memories of such dreams in the past. In retrospect, these desires exhibited in dreams are now desires exhibited when awake.
Two questions:
1) Are your dreams in black and white or full color? If color, is the color of the world realistic, symbolic, or surreal?
2) What is the significance of black and white or color in dreams?

The rambles of the night before always seem selfish the day after. With this intention the last journal was deleted.
Devious Comments
sometimes i'll talk to a certain person. i'll tell them something and my subconscious will predict their reaction. funny thing is, sometimes i will say the things in reality that i had said in my dreams, and the person has the same exact reaction. even their words will be the same. it's the sort of thing that makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up. am i predicting or manipulating with these dreams?
lucid dreams aren't nearly as fun as normal dreams, though. i always remember all of my dreams- i don't think most people do. my dreams are very vivid. also, they're usually in third person. it's like watching a movie- they're clear and they make perfect sense. i often dream about the future- i wonder if these are merely dreams or slight precog. only time will tell.
i used to have a recurring nightmarish dream about jumping off a lighthouse and dying. a while ago, i had the same dream, but as i fell to my death, someone was standing in the sand. he caught me, saved me. it was a beautiful dream.
sorry for the ramble. i adore dreams.

You were right about the stars: each one is a setting sun.
although id kind of like to have b&w dreams... im a huge fan of black and white movies, especially metropolis and night of the living dead.
I've always had coloured dreams, and a lot of them seem to be very real. A good few times, I've woken up and thought that my dream was what had happened the previous day. Messed up.
Now I wanna look into dreams more
Keep it real.

And if all the mistakes I made and all the pain I caused myself brought you back your freedom and happiness, I'd be out there shooting the system and bleeding for you...
That nightmare seems symbolic, it almost seems as though had met someone in whom yo could entrust your life in or who would stop you from comitting suicide.
My own recurring nightmare (nay, the only nightmare i ever had) would be one where i was trapped on an empty planet running hopelessly from some big, bulky, orange monster that was otherwise indistinguishible. I remember waking crying out for my parents. That only occured maybe twice when i was young and then two or three years later i revisited that planet slightly older, still being chased on that desolate world without any hope of escaping. It never had an ending, i merely awoke and found that i was sweating and my heart was racing.
About dreams that resemble the future. I would attribute that more to inner desires of what you want in the future rather than something that will happen. In relation to what you said, almost every dream i've had is in third person, the dreams make sense but i wonder why i would be in the situation presented. i'm tempted to give examples of some of my favorites but this probably isn't the place. They're all strange and, aside from a few select ones which hold strictly personal interest, nowhere near worth mentioning.
Every ramble deserves another.
